Michael Carman and I will read from two recently published books on losing a loved one to mental illness. My memoir, Losing Aaron, tells the story of my brilliant son, his life with schizophrenia, and his eventual suicide.
Michael Carman will read vignettes from Sister Stories by the late Susan Ribner, describing mental illness in Ribner’s family. Michael Carman will also read a selection of her own poems from a new manuscript.
