Ingrid Blaufarb Hughes was born in London in 1945, and brought up in the US, Greece, and Southeast Asia. She attended the Colorado Rocky Mt School, Bennington College and Columbia University's School of General Studies. She earned a master's in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at Hunter College and taught writing and literature at the City University of New York for many years. Her book about her son, Losing Aaron, describes his life, his mental illness, and his death. Published by Irene Weinberger Books, it's available from Amazon in print and on Kindle. Her poems and stories have appeared in a number of periodicals. She lives now in the Hudson Valley with her husband.
