Ingrid Blaufarb Hughes was born in London in 1945 and grew up in Greece, Washington DC, Saigon, Singapore and Colorado. With her husband she brought up their two children in New York, and there, for many years, she taught English to immigrants and native New Yorkers at the City University. She served as an officer in the union of faculty and staff at CUNY, then after her son’s death devoted herself to writing about him. Her poems and stories have been published in a number of print and online periodicals and her new book, Losing Aaron, is available from Amazon and for Nook. She lives now in the Hudson Valley, where she is active in a peace group, Women in Black.
